Update?

I'm surprised no one else has been able to get one of these started. Someone help me and I will put more effort into it.

Raspberry Pi

     I ordered a Raspberry Pi from Element14.com yesterday. I should be getting it in the next few days. I'm not really sure what exactly I'll be doing with it, but that hasn't stopped me before when it came to buying a gadget. Maybe ill try installing XBMC on it and see how that works.
    I'm also trying to think of a central location we can have a first meet up. guess it depends on how many people can actually attend. Emails coming out soon to discuss it.

Enough

I think I have enough people for a casuel meetup. maybe something at a coffee shop somewhere to discuss what we are all looking to get out of a club like this. Now i just need to figure out the best place to meet. I'll be sending out an email soon

A few contacts

I posted an ad on Craigslist and something on Google+ a few days ago. I got a few responses. Two contacts from Fayetteville and one from Bentonville. Another guy emailed me from just across the state line in MO, but he commutes to rogers Monday though Friday. I've even emailed some people who had  contacted me about last time we tried to get something like this going. This time i think i'll start a spreadsheet with all the names on it of people who are interested. Once i get an few more people i'll try a casual meetup .

Got an Email

I just got this email from Cosmo , if anyone is still interested drop him a line and we will see what happens
"Well we have been shopping around for a few weeks and we think we found the perfect spot on block in fayetteville! we hope to occupy inside of a couple of weeks. tell anyone you think that is interested to email cosmo.simplecircuit@gmail.com or follow @SimpleCircuit on twitter. we are ready to start accepting the first group(s) who want to discussing what needs to be done."

In just one day

After only one Day of my craigslist posting, I received a total of 8 emails from people who would be interested in joining a local Hackerspace group. I'm getting together a list of names and email addresses and will keep everyone posted of any more developments. I thinking about doing an introduction post on here so everyone can each give a little information about one another before we actually try to find a place to meet up. Babysteps
I also updated the hackerspaces.org wiki to reflect something going on in NWA.
